Story In Short:

When the Chicago police are unable to make head or tail about a grisly double murder committed with black magic, in comes Detective Harry Dresden ,paranormal Investigator.

Harry is very professional at what he does, people do make fun of him and don't take him seriously except Detective Murphy from the police. Then he gets badly entangled in the case.

What I liked About the book:

1. An action packed supernatural edge of the seat fantasy thriller , that will remind you of Nancy Drew novels and not bore you even for a minute.

2. You get to experience a good amount of supernatural beings like faeries, spirits, vampires, and then there is a constant struggle between science and magic.

3. Best part of the book is that Harry is not a brilliant or smart ass or know it all guy which makes him humane, relatable and grounded. He respects every being for what he or she is.

4. The book is funny as hell, especially all the times when Harry manages to get into trouble ,which is more often than not.
