For the first time in their lives, sisters Hannah and Juliet Goodwin find themselves estranged. Hannah, newly married to City solicitor Michael and pregnant with their first child, has her ambitions focused on a dream house in Battersea’s affluent “Nappy Valley.” All, apparently, is as good as it gets. Juliet, meanwhile, is not so ready to commit. Her once-promising career in brand consultancy is now a low priority to the nights out with her friends Larry, Kate and Fulton, and she is unwilling to consider a future with her boyfriend Guy, a home of her own, or any plan beyond that evening’s choice of drinking hole.
