The Nanny Diaries is a 2002 satirical novel by former nannies Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus. It follows a young NYU student working as a nanny for a wealthy, dysfunctional Manhattan family known as the "X family", exposing the absurdities of upper-class Park Avenue society through the eyes of their caregiver.
