A guide to the part of Lithuania locked between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian lagoon. It is marked by distinc historical features – religion (Lutheranism), dependence to the German state and the Minor Lithuanians (Lietuvininkai) ethnic group, and the way of life determined bythe proximity of sea and the lagoon. It's nature, traditional lifestile and architecture differ greatly from other parts of Lithuania.
