Jungle Stories is a a book co-written by Sting and photographer Jean Pierre Dutilleux about their visits to the Amazon rainforest, firstly in 1987 (when he was accompanied by Trudie Styler), and later in 1989 (when trying to get President Sarney to agree to the demarcation of the Xingu National Park). Dutilleux was responsible for introducing Sting to the problems being faced by the Amazonian indians and for introducing him to Chief Raoni. The book features many superb colour photographs of the rainforest and the damage being done by logging and mining companies, but especially of the mysterious and proud Indian tribes.
