The Belgian detective, Poirot, is staying at a hotel when

a beautiful actress, Arlena, is found strangled to death

on the beach. There are many guests with a motive for

killing her, including her husband, his daughter, Arlena’s

lover, Patrick and his wife, Christine. They all have alibis,

however, and the police and Poirot try to piece together

the different parts of the puzzle. In the end, Poirot solves

the mystery and discovers the identity of the murderer.
